William Wallace was born about 1555 in Elderslie, Renfrewshire, Scotland.

He married Katherine Crawford. She was born about 1555 in Helington, Renfrewshire, Scotland and died before 6 April 1611. She was the daughter of Hugh Crawford and Margaret Colquhoun.
